With the season of giving approaching fast, it’s the perfect time to dive into how to get the most out of your Wishlist on Whering.
From curating your hub of inspiration to giving and receiving the best gifts, you can do so much with our Wishlist tool. Let’s get into it.
Obviously, you can add items as you're shopping online by pasting links into your Whering Wishlist, but it doesn't have to be confined to clothing. You can add anything by uploading images from your camera roll. Document anything you want to buy, from books to homeware. Think of it as a one-stop shop for everything you wish you had. Close those tabs, and keep everything in one place.
I used to love looking at popular sellers' likes on Depop to see what inspired their unique fashion sense, so it’s great that you can view other users’ Wishlists on Whering. Don’t worry, it’s easy to make yours private if you don’t want people to snoop around.
You can add items from friends’ Wishlists to your own with the click of a button. I find it refreshing to get fashion inspiration from people close to me, rather than online trends and my Instagram Explore page.
Also, if you and your friends use Whering, browsing their Wishlist is a great way to find out what items they’ve been eyeing up to surprise them come Christmas or their birthday. You’re welcome!
If you didn’t know already, you can share your Wishlist with friends and family via messaging apps and on social media. At Whering, we believe asking for gifts you actually want is the same as buying something with the intention of long-term wear, to ensure you actually use the present you have been given to avoid it ending up in landfill.
Whering Dress Me
The rush of excitement after booking a holiday can often feel dampened by the thought of packing. But what if there was a way to make packing your suitcase easier?
Whering is the wardrobe app making your packing experience lighter. There’s a reason Condé Nast Traveller named us a must-have travel app– we take the stress out of deciding what to wear on holiday and feeling like you’ve forgotten something.
See our ultimate packing guide to take you from choosing outfits to packing your suitcase. You’ll never dread prepping for a trip again.
I love to create folders in my Moodboard and Wishlist that match each other's vibe. In the Moodboard are all the images of outfits I like or things that inspire me. My Wishlist contains everything inspired by the images in my Moodboard that I am considering buying. Having a correlation between the two helps ensure cohesion between what I want to buy, and what I’m actually buying to avoid impulse purchases that don’t reflect my style.
Here are some of the Moodboards and Wishlists I’ve created using Whering.
I like to keep things clean and avoid the folders getting cluttered with items I’m no longer finding interesting. I’ll do a monthly audit of my Wishlist to remove any items I am not considering buying, to keep the folders nice and clean. Around this time I will also consider buying anything that I still feel like I need, or something I’ve been thinking about for weeks. This auditing process has really helped me reduce my consumption. I’ve only bought 5 items of clothing since the start of 2024.
As much as I like using my Wishlist to save items I am interested in, I find it useful to keep an archival folder of items I previously wanted to buy, that I am no longer considering. This reminds me that even when I see something that might be a nice asset to my wardrobe, more often than not I am happy to leave these items un-purchased after I think about it for a bit.
That’s how I love to use my Wishlist on Whering, what about you? If you’re a big fan of the Wishlist feature, let us know how you use it my getting in touch over email, at team@whering.co.uk.
