Vibrant, fun and clashing
I think clashing because I enjoy clashing colours and patterns. I chose fun because to me fashion is fun, and I feel like it should be fun for everyone as a form of self-expression.
The outfit I’m wearing is what I would wear if I was going out with my friends like- “It’s Saturday night!!”. This jacket I really like because it’s warmish but it’s also not too hot if you want to wear it inside. The tights I think are quite cool, I really like them.
I think my style has always been really colourful and really bright, but I feel like it’s changed in recent years. It’s grown up with me, but it’s still what it was when I first decided to embrace colours.
I think personal style is all about wearing what makes you feel comfortable, happy and confident in your outfit and yourself. If I am not wearing something that’s my personal style then I don’t feel like myself.
When finding personal style I feel like the main thing is to wear what you feel comfortable in. When you’re shopping and looking at clothes, just think about what you’re drawn to and what feels right to you.
I would love to borrow more of my friends’ clothes (even though I already borrow loads of their stuff anyway!) and they are always welcome to borrow anything of mine.
One item I can’t live without is my Doc Martens. I just love them, I wear them every day. They are huge platforms and they go with everything.
I don’t tend to send them outfits, but I will definitely ask my flatmates “What do you think?” . We all do that when we’re getting ready. We’ll all emerge from our rooms in our outfits and be like “Yes! Love it!”.
I like to shop with friends because I think I need a bit of encouragement buying things. I’m always really indecisive- do I want this? Do I need this?
I think my friends and I all have different styles, everyone’s got their own thing but I think we’re all kind of similar in our way but also quite different.
I think Whering has really helped me wear what I already have and look to my own wardrobe before I consider buying new. It’s good for finding new combinations from my current clothes.
