Is vintage clothing sustainable?

Vintage clothing is a form of circular fashion, so naturally it’s a lot more sustainable than shopping from fast fashion brands. Yet, like any kind of shopping, even though it’s preloved, you should always make sure you’re buying something you actually need that you’ll wear for years to come.

Even when it’s vintage, impulse buying to fill a void is never a good idea. Think whether you really need it and make an informed decision! For those that are still feeling a little lost, we’ve got a guide on how to order items you’ll never want to return to help you out.

To help you make vintage purchases with confidence (because we know vintage fashion can be daring for some of us), you can use our ‘Wear it With’ feature to style clothes you want to buy with items you already own.

Gone are the days of ordering something online and hoping it matches your wardrobe, we’re here to help.

What is the most unique online vintage clothing website?

All vintage clothing sites will bring you one of a kind vintage pieces, you just need to have a thorough browse. We suggest staying clear from fast fashion marketplaces as these won’t bring you unique or quality vintage clothing.

For the best vintage finds online, decide what item you’re looking for and search far and wide across sites (or just checking out the Whering Marketplace).

You’ll be sure to find a unique version of it somewhere on either Whering, Depop, Vinted, eBay, Vestiaire Collective or Etsy.

Whering brings you a handpicked selection of stunning vintage clothing from multiple vintage stores, so you can find top tier vintage clothing (that no one else owns!) on our Marketplace.

See and style items you want to buy online with clothes you already own using our 'Wear it With' feature. We’re helping our users make considered purchases they will love for years to come, because even when buying second-hand it’s still important to purchase with the intention of long term wear.
